An original concept exploring a dark aesthetic through the polarizing theme of ‘ownership versus companionship.’

This design features many symbols that are intended to carry the viewers mind through the piece and then back unto themselves.
For example, the figure in the sculpt features a stapled zipper along her back. This zipper is meant to denote hollowness within oneself, which could be perceived through many lenses, including Buddhism, or compared to other fictional psychological figures such as Rilakkuma and Pyramid Head.  This hollow nature is reflected in the balloon dog that the figure is holding. The color of the balloon dog is Baker–Miller pink, which expresses a provision of comfort. All of this is to say, the viewer will be rewarded by exploring the design with an analyzing eye and reflective mind.
